No. I wasn’t.

Thanks to Johnny Brazil, who showed me a clip of the last few seconds of Family Guy.  Mr. MacFarlane did, in fact,  duplicate the “To Be Continued…” from  Star Trek.  Not as good as the time he did a frame-by-frame recreation of “Somewhere That’s Green” from Little Shop of Horrors, but still awesome.

Was I just hallucinating?

I was watching the 100th episode of Family Guy last night, and I’m not sure if I saw what I think I saw.

I’m about 90% sure that the “To Be Continued” at the end of the episode was lifted completely from the end of the first part of Star Trek: The Next Generation’s “The Best of Both Worlds” (complete with score). With a show like Family Guy, which has more pop culture references per second (or, if you will, “pcrps”), it’s not always easy to tell when something is original or a reference to something else. And, Seth MacFarlane has referenced Star Trek in the past.

Any ideas, kids?
