Ed…just Ed

This worked really well the last time–when I bitched and moaned about the lack of DVD collections of Tiny Toons, Freakazoid, and The Invisible Man (all three now exist)–so, I thought “What the hell?”, I’ll try it one more time and see if it works.

This time around, I want to know what the hell is up with the lack of Ed on DVD.  Ed was such a cute, harmless little show about a lawyer who also owned a bowling alley.  It was a lot like Northern Exposure, except it was set in Ohio.

So, that’s that.  I demand Ed on DVD.  See what you can do for me, internet.

  1. Not happening any time soon, and no one is sadder about that than me. The problem is with one of the episodes from season one. For some reason they don’t have the copyright to one of the songs or something and they would just replace it with another like they do sometimes, but they can’t do that this time, because it is the only song that will work as it’s part of the scene. I will never understand copyright law.

  2. Dammit, dammit, dammit! I knew it was something stupid like that…it’s the same thing that held up FREAKS AND GEEKS.

You get the torches, I’ll get the pitchforks…we’ll make this happen.

  3. That’s one that I would grab my pitchfork to protest for! Ed was an awesome show.

  4. Aw, Ed’s a great show! If we all chip in a buck to pay for the rights to the song, will they release it on DVD then?

  5. Wait, The Invisible Man is on DVD? The David McCallum one from the ’70s? Where did you see it? I can’t find it anywhere.

  6. Whoops…not the ’70s version. The one I’m talking about is the Sci-Fi Channel series from a few years back.
